The Adams County Board of DD provides specialized door-to-door service for adults to and from Venture Productions, Inc., as well as for community training, leisure/recreation, and Special Olympics.
All Bus Drivers hold the Commercial Driver's License, Class B, and have been trained in CPR and First Aid. All Van Drivers hold a regular Driver’s License and have completed the required van training as approved by the ACBDD. Drivers carry cell phones to communicate with the program offices. Drug testing, background checks, and annual physicals are all requirements for driving any transportation route vehicles.
We are currently phasing out all of our buses into a fleet of Vans that are more cost-efficient and user friendly to our adults with disabilities. Currently, the Adams CBDD has 6 vans on the transportation routes and 2 more ordered to finish out the fleet.
